I appreciated watching you work this dynamic of practicing to be your joyful, no-quite-as-serious, self on camera. Thanks for your courage to do this publicly. It’s such an odd dynamic to have a natural one-way conversation, because it’s everything but natural. You did a great job. I’m with you 100% on the desire for connection and great conversation. How to use these tools and the online world to facilitate that without getting lost in it is the challenge of the moment.
My favorite part of your video was the story of your kid initiating a puzzle waterfall off the table.
And re joy, and smiles, and fun . . . to become skilled or successful at anything requires that we do that thing a LOT. And how the hell are you going to be motivated to do something a lot if it doesn’t bring you joy? It’s a no-brainer of an equation.
Thanks for your reflections and encouragement, Rick. I really appreciate it. Being on camera is a Practice! and I can feel myself becoming more comfortable the more I engage with it. I'm working up to public speaking- just started taking voice lessons. Your writing has been inspiring to that end.

That's awesome Sean. Let me know if I can help.
You are brining me joy.
You bring me joy, too, brother.
